GP3 BRANOfol R 2 (Skinfilm with Corrosion Protection)

Characteristics

BRANOfol Skinfilms are polyethylene films with lower thickness (PE-LD); they are coated on one side with an adhesive agent and VCI vapour-phase corrosion-protection inhibitors (VCI principle: Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor).
This layer of active substances constantly releases small amounts of volatile protective inhibitors. Skin-film packaged components are provided with reliable corrosion protection on contact; protection is also provided from a distance for drill holes and other hard-to-access places.

Scope of protection

Steel, iron, chrome and high-grade aluminium. Care should be taken with zinc, cadmium and magnesium alloys, and copper and its alloys.

Application

BRANOfol Skinfilms have been designed for efficient transparent packaging. They can be used to skin wrap small and medium-sized components on a suitable skin packaging base - components might include bearings, lathed parts, screws, nuts and washers.

Using BRANOfol Skinfilm does away with the need to oil and grease components, saving time, wages and materials as well as making the working environment cleaner. More detailed information on “skin packaging” can be found in a specially formulated technical information document.

BRANOfol VCI products are to be used exclusively for the stipulated applications (packaging/preservation of metal parts susceptible to damage). We accept no liability for consequential damage resulting from improper use.

Skin features

The BRANOfol R 2 adhesion system has been designed to work effectively with the varied range of BRANOrost bases. Both products complement each other, working best together. Use of a third-party product with either of the products can lead to premature tearing of the packaging and the loss of goods.

Our skin cardboard has been impregnated with active corrosion-protection substances and is designed for use with BRANOfol Skinfilm for optimal protection. The stability of BRANOfol corresponds to the basic film used.

Disposal

BRANOfol Skinfilm can be introduced into a recycling process. Soiled films must be disposed of in an incineration process.

Work safety

BRANOfol Skinfilm is not a hazardous formulation as defined in the hazardous materials ordinance. Further information can be found in our Material Safety Data Sheet.
