GF3 BRANOral

Characteristics

BRANOral products are liquid preservatives that are available in a number of versions:

BRANOral C 10 is a clear, alcohol-based active substance for diluted application in operating fluids or rinsing baths.

BRANOral C 10 creates an extremely thin, hardly noticeable passivating layer on non-ferrous metals. In this way the resistance against discolouring, from the air or in the coil, is substantially improved. The familiar fast decrease in solderability is prevented.

Scope of protection

Recommended for copper, bronze and brass strip, but also for pipes, rails, wire and stamped, turned or pressed parts (as bulk goods).

Application and dosage

BRANOral is a suitable anti-corrosion agent for cavity protection where use of BRANOrost papers is unsuitable, e.g. narrow tubes, bends, etc. especially for inter-plant shipment and CKD shipments in the automotive industry.

BRANOral is applied by spraying into cavities, tubes and other systems to be closed and by drop-by-drop application in foil bags. The application concentration usually constitutes a percentage by weight of between 2 and 6 (C 10).

Available product sizes

Packaging drums with volumes of 10, 20 and 200 litres.

Storage

Do not store in direct sunlight. The drums must be kept permanently closed. Storage duration: 5 years in the original factory-sealed containers.

Disposal

Undiluted BRANOral C 10 and other oils or solvents doped with this product fall under the special monitoring category of the German „Kreislaufwirtschafts- und Abfallgesetz” (Federal Waste Ordinance) and are also subject to this law‘s other relevant regulations. They can be introduced into a suitable energy recovery plant or disposal process. BRANOral C 10 has been designed to be strongly diluted (approx. 1%) in differing applications. Watery waste from such rinsing processes (when the product has been diluted with a great deal of water) can be introduced into the waste water disposal system, provided that this is not prevented by other contamination or local authority regulations.

Work safety

Information about the work safety can be found in our Material Safety Data Sheets.
