GV2 Alfopac (Laminated Aluminium Film, Water-Vapour-tight)

Characteristics

Alfopac Laminated Aluminium Film is suitable for normal applications and is our standard packaging product for smaller packaging needs.

Application

Alfopac is a water-vapour-tight barrier-layer material for the protection of machines, precision tools, components, plant and electronic control systems against moisture and corrosion during sea transport, polar and tropical transport and for long-term packaging and storage purposes, for example in a military depot.

Alfopac is moisture and grease-proof, extremely durable in mechanical processes, flexible, wear-resistant, rot-proof and heat-sealable on its white matt side.

Available product sizes

Alfopac is available in rolls, half-tubes, flat-bags or crate inserts.

Special features

Regardless of whether you choose to protect your products with grease, with modern VCI systems such as the BRANOrost papers or with atmospheric packaging using desiccant  our barrier-layer materials are compatible with all these materials.

Using our barrier-layer materials, you save time, shipping weight (compared to metal containers) and costs (on wood, because you can use thinner crates). The effort required to apply and remove the preservation system is minimal.

We recommend our water-vapour-tight packaging materials rather than a 100% polyethylene film solution because of their considerably higher moisture-resistant properties, which allow substantial amounts of desiccant to be saved.

Our BRANOgel desiccant works together with Alfopac to build the atmospheric packaging: The barrier-layer material provides the packaging with hermetic protection against the moisture in the surrounding atmosphere. While BRANOgel absorbs the remaining moisture inside the packaging.

The S 30 and S 40 hand-sealing tongs have been designed for manufacturing moisture-proof packages, bags and crate inserts and can be used to reseal open packages.
