F 7 / F 9 (Flame retardant papers)
CharacteristicsBoth our bleached and printed “Patenthaut” papers and our unbleached and unprinted F 7 and F 9 papers are all flame retardant Kraft papers. They are in accordance with DIN 4102 class B1, as well as the federal examining authority regulations on the flame retardant properties of papers for use in spaces requiring inspection with regard to safety requirements.
Application examplesThese flame retardant papers are used for lining spray booths and plants, for covering drip zones, in the manufacture of partitions, theatre stages and decorations and for covering and packaging goods that are susceptible to fire or are easily combustible. Walls, run-off sheets and drip zones remain clean and dry, and danger of fire and explosion are reduced in accordance with German federal VGB 23 § 41 legal requirements. Saving on the expensive removal of paint remains.

These flame retardant papers can be printed, painted, glued, folded, fastened, cut and stamped in the same way as normal papers. They are absorbent and they are conductive and prevent static charging.

DisposalPatenthaut, F 7 and F 9 papers are recyclable. Patenthaut is also marked with the recycling symbol. Since the thermal value is > 11,000 kJ/kg the material may be introduced into an energy recovery process. If disposal in this way is not feasible or not possible, it can be introduced into the local refuse collection system or burnt, provided local and public disposal regulations are adhered to.
