Oil prices reach new highs
PE raises up to +170 €/t

At the oil market, the chase continues: The prices are rising worldwide, new peak values are achieved in series. However, the recent rise in oil prices seems to be far of the end of the line. Unfortunately, the rise in oil prices remains not without consequences for the plastics industry. During the summer period, the situation on the European PE market got worse. Under closer scrunity of the development of oil prices and the prevailing shortage of ethylene, further increases in film can be expected. Particularly, the film products of LDPE and LLDPE exploded in July by an average of +170 € / t.
Even for us it was time to respond to the development in the PE market. An internal price adjustment was already made in August 1st. Because of the current unclear price developments in the PE market, the new BRANOfol price list will be updated every three months.
