BRANOrol 32/10+ – Cavity preservation
with VCI effect
BRANOrol 32/10+ is a mineral oil-based corrosion protection oil for the cavity preservation of metallic components. It combines contact and distance protection in one product: as an oil film it protects metal surfaces through direct contact, and via the VCI principle it also protects hard-to-reach areas inside closed cavities. VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor.
BRANOrol 32/10+ is suitable for ferrous metals and aluminium – both on contact and at a distance. Other metals and alloys must be tested before use.
The protection duration is up to five years when fully sealed with a tight outer packaging. It is essential that all openings are sealed as tightly as possible after filling in order to create a closed system.

Areas of application
Where BRANOrol 32/10+ is used
BRANOrol 32/10+ is designed for corrosion protection in cavities – where metal surfaces need to be protected from the inside and are difficult to access. Whether drive components, pipelines or tanks: the key requirement is that the cavity can be tightly sealed after filling.
Gearboxes, pumps and engines are barely accessible from the inside. BRANOrol 32/10+ is poured or sprayed into the cavity, after which all openings are sealed as tightly as possible – creating a closed system with a VCI atmosphere.
Cylinders, pipelines and tanks can also be preserved internally in this way. For fuel tanks, de-preservation is not required at all, as BRANOrol 32/10+ burns without residue.
For newly manufactured units, BRANOrol 32/10+ provides protection during transport and storage. With complete sealing and tight outer packaging, the protection duration is up to five years – supporting protection during extended transport and storage periods.
Agricultural machinery, snow removal equipment and boats stand idle for a large part of the year. BRANOrol 32/10+ is suitable for this type of seasonal shutdown.

A VCI corrosion protection oil protects metal in two ways: as an oil film through direct contact and by releasing small amounts of corrosion inhibitors within a closed system. VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor. BRANOrol 32/10+ is such an oil, based on mineral oil and developed for the cavity preservation of metallic components.
BRANOrol 32/10+ is suitable for the cavity protection of gearboxes, pumps, engines, cylinders, pipelines and tanks – during the transport and storage of newly manufactured units as well as for the seasonal shutdown of agricultural machinery, snow removal equipment and boats. To protect a volume of one cubic metre, 0.3 to 1 litre of BRANOrol 32/10+ is required. If fuel or operating fluids are still present, the amount added should be increased by 5 per cent.
The protection duration is up to five years when fully sealed with tight outer packaging. It is essential that all openings are sealed as tightly as possible after filling in order to create a closed system.
Before filling components with operating, engine or hydraulic oil, drain BRANOrol 32/10+ completely. Oiled metal parts can be cleaned using all common cleaning and degreasing methods. De-preservation is not required for fuel tanks, as BRANOrol 32/10+ burns without residue.
BRANOrol 32/10+ should be stored between 5 °C and 35 °C in originally sealed containers and protected from direct sunlight. In sealed metal drums the oil has an unlimited shelf life; once opened, twelve months. Sealed 20-litre plastic canisters have a shelf life of 24 months; once opened, six months.
